Building Cycling's Future
Ivan Cabezas is on a mission to lead the next generation on a path to cycling. The Hutchinson rider organized the 30-mile Swedish Tapas Grinduro that launched from Lindsborg's Riverside Park and meandered around Coronado Heights and back. Along the way, cyclists used the 4-stage race on gravel to train for the upcoming Dirty Kanza in June and work on improving personal goals. Cabezas says linking families together on the bike trail is a natural way to grow the sport.

In October of odd-numbered years, Lindsborg hosts a community festival called Hyllningsfest, where participants and onlookers alike wear the traditional Swedish folk costumes to celebrate the Swedish pioneers who settled the Smoky Valley in the 1860s.
