Firehouse Rules

January 11, 2018 Dala Town

The Lindsborg Fire Station turned into a classroom for a group of area students recently as curiosity was fueled by the sounds of a of a siren and a chance to touch the tools that help keep Little Sweden, USA safe.

Former firefighter and EMS Director Chris Matthews led the children on a tour of the station that houses equipment used by the 20 qualified members who are on call for emergencies around McPherson County as part of Fire District 8.

The hands-on experience gave students a chance to ask questions, climb into the command cab of a fire engine and dream of the day when they may answer the call to help a stranger or friend.
