Eighty-two years ago this week, Lindsborg celebrated the formal dedication of the Swensson Memorial Band Shell with a live performance by the Bethany College Band. Born out of the Works Progress Administration (WPA), native stone and the muscle of men who were eager to be employed during the Great Depression, the Band Shell was a marvel of design and function that still shines today.
