First race for many youngsters during the Kids’ Short Course Race.
Young and old stepped up to the starting line Saturday to begin a day-long celebration, marking the 145th anniversary in Marquette, Kansas. The men’s race was won by Eddie Grier of Manhattan while Ashtin Klepper of Ellinwood won the women’s heat. (read more).

Instead of a stone monument, new memories were made to mark the passing of 150 years in Lindsborg over the Independence Day weekend as thousands with a connection to Little Sweden connected with each other.
